Busy Week, Holiday Weekend at Springfield Summer Arts Festival

The Springfield Summer Arts Festival is in full swing with several events scheduled for this week and the upcoming weekend.

The schedule for this week and weekend is as follows:

Wednesday, June 27 at 8 PM

The United State Army Field Band’s

Thursday, June 28 at 8 PM

Wyatt McCubbin and Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers

Friday and Saturday, June 29-30, beginning at 5 PM

Sip of Summer Wine / Beer Tasting

Masters of Soul celebrating songs and performers of Motown

Saturday, June 30 at 8 PM

Griffin House

Sunday, July 1 at 2 PM (Veterans Park stage)

FREE guitar workshop / Shaun Hopper

Sunday, July 1 at 8 PM

The Summer Arts Festival is presented by the Robert J. Bennett Family and the Springfield Arts Council in cooperation with the National Trail Parks and Recreation District.

Premier sponsors for the Summer Arts Festival inculde the Springfield Foundation, The Acra Family, The Della Selsor Trust and the Heidelberg Distributing Company. The Ohio Arts Council is the Operation Grantor in partnership with Clark County – Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee.

The Springfield Summer Arts Festival is scheduled to run June 14 through July 21 with over two dozen events set to take place.

Events are admission free and attendees are encouraged to “pay what you can” when the hat is passed during the intermission of each event.

Limited free parking is available in Veterans Park and at nearby lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Lawn chairs may be placed in Veterans Park on the day of an event beginning at 6 AM, and must be removed at the conclusion of each performance.
